1/30/11 - CHS hosted the Shenzen Middle School Choir from China for a day of music and a fantastic concert by the choirs and a capella groups along with the student from Shenzen. Special thanks to Ingrid Wang for putting together this cultural exchange!

1/20/11 - Congratulations to Nick Berke on his rendition of the "Star-Spangled Banner" at the varsity boys b-ball game!

1/10/11 - Congratulations to Ruthie Froch for an outstanding performance of the National Anthem at the CHS boy varisty basketball, last second, nail-biter of a victory over Thousand Oaks. The Pep Band provided much appreciated pep and music.

12/11/10 - The CHS Saxophone Ensemble plays at the Courtyard at the Commons.

12/7-8 - Congratulations to all the performers at the Winter Concerts! A Merry time was had by all, from the caroling Unstrumentalists to the bands, choirs and small groups.

10/27/10 - Carl Allen, drummer and Director of the Jazz Studies program at the Julliard School visited CHS and worked with students from the Jazz A band.

10/17/10 - The CHS String Orchestra and Jazz Combo perform at the Harvest Festival at Pierce College.

 

5/3/10 - Alumnus Rose Finklestein performed her original music for the Music Appreciation class. She is joined on one tune by seniors Brian Kasimov, Joe Davidson and Sarah Tudzin

4/20/10 - The Jazz B Band and Jazz Black Band performed at the Reno Jazz Festival in Reno, Nevada, along with hundreds of other bands from all over the west coast (including local friends Agoura, Westlake and Moorpark high schools)

4/1/10 - The Jazz A Band performed at Swing Central in Savannah, GA as 1 of 12 bands selected from across the US.

3/26/10 - District SCSBOA festival at Agoura High School: The Wind Ensembles receives a Superior rating; the Concert Band and Orchestra both receive Excellent ratings.

3/24/10 - A capella group from Univeristy of Oregon visits CHS with alumni Geena Glaser

3/15/10 - District choir festival at CHS, all three choirs perform with distinction!

3/7/10 - The Wind Ensemble, Maestoso & Vivace travel to Seatlle, WA for music clinics at various universities and school; over 100 students on two flights from different airports! See Photos

3/1/10 - The Spring Concerts are a delightful smorgasbord of jazz, classical music, vocal music, a capella and many wonderful Senior Solos - congrats seniors! Also, the debut of Bare Rhythm - nice work ladies...

2/22/10 - Another successful concert, with the debut of the Concert Band.

12/3/09 - The Winter Concerts were a great success with a fantastic mix of music on both nights. Congratulations to all the students who performed!

11/17/09 - Opening night of Beauty and the Beast was a huge success, performances loved by all! Come see the show - get your tickets at the student store. Congrats to the Cast, Crew and Pit Band.

10/16/09 - Success at the Hidden Hills Fiesta for the CHS Marching Band in its debut parade!

10/9/09 - A great performance by the CHS Marching Band at the varsity football game - the band danced and had a great time - thanks to all the parents who came out to support the band! Also congratulations to Ariana Tibi for a stirring National Anthem. Many students and parents stuck around after the game to help recyclc and we took quite a load!

9/15/09 - Congratulations to the Varsity Football team who won their game 28-12 last week. The Marching Band performed the Earth, Wind & Fire hit "September" in a great half-time show. See them playing at CHS Marching Band. Also congratulations to Eliana Levenson for a spectacular rendition of the National Anthem.
